New Biblio-Resources Online

ILAB has posted PDF files of two of its important biblio-reference publications:

- B. M. Rosenthal, Dictionary of Abbreviations Commonly used by German and Italian Antiquarian Booksellers and Auctioneers (1993). Oak Knoll describes this "an excellent
reference for those readers who are not completely fluent in German and/or Italian. This work is divided into two language sections, German and Italian, with English translations. Each section contains a brief description the language's use of abbreviations, followed by a list of entries with the uses of the German or Italian word and its corresponding English translation. In addition, each entry includes at least one example in order to provide the context in which the abbreviations could be used."

- Edgar Franco, Dictionary of Terms and Expressions commonly used in the Antiquarian Booktrade in French, English, German and Italian (1994). Oak Knoll: "an easy-to-use dictionary that makes quick reference possible. In order to compile a list of terms that are not found in the standard lingual dictionaries, Franco researched the catalogues of fellow antiquarian
booksellers and existing dictionaries in addition to his own knowledge. Approximately seven hundred entries are provided, each containing the French, English, German, and Italian translation. This book also provides a glossary of commonly used terms in all four languages."
